Capital One Credit Card

I keep receiving Capital One Credit Card applications by mail that I had never ever requested, there is not even a return address on the envelope so I am not able to return the envelope back to sender.

All the offers that I receive from this company says the approval is guaranteed which is obviously BS! If you read the fine print it says that they would have to do a credit inquiry on you to see if you could be approved, and just incase you didn't know that everytime a company does a credit check on you it will affect your credit rating which will make your credit look bad!

This company is a scam, not only they lie but they also charge rediculous amount of money.

Never NEVER trust Capital One Visa or Mastercard Credit Card.

  1. I have a 200.00 Capital One Mastercard. Got behind on all my bills due to unforseen crisis. Tried to work with all creditors. Only one would not do this. The little 200.00 Capital One Mastercard. Their very rude and unbeleivably arrogant telestaff sets the rules for resolution, with no room for barter When they do not prevail in their layed out plan, the repercussions come in the form of 1.telephone terrorism. By their own admission they are permitted by law to call 3x per day. They are caling me in excess of 10 times per day, often 3x in the space of as little as 10 minutes, anywhere from 7 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week. Many of these calls come from numbers that show up as "unknown" on call display. I beleive they are breaking several laws right there.
    2. sudden rapid escalation of total bill. My 241.00 bill mushrommed to over 600.00 in under 6 months. They are terrorizing me, and when I suggested that I was going to speak to a lawyer about this, the guy on the phone laughed, and said if I cannot pay a 200.00 credit card bill, then how am I planning on paying a lawyer! What an arrogant mouthpiece!
Also, invoices are not showing payments received. One payment in the past 6 months was 100.00, and has never shown up on any of their invoices as having been paid. They are blaming my bank. My bank says different. My bank gave me a receipt for the payment.
Are there any class actions against this company yet? It seems to me there should be. I know a lot of others with their own horror stories regarding this company.
I would advise anyone and everyone to steer clear of this company.

  2. I had a Capital One secured MasterCard with a $1,000.00 limit. I tried to close the account three months ago but they kept charging the account with overlimit fees, insurance and any other thing they could think to put on it until I began receiving calls that I must pay them $284.94 immediately. After arguing back and forth that I had closed the account and that they were charging a dead account I felt like I was speaking to a bag of hammers so I paid the money and told them to close the account immediately. The only correspondence I wanted from them was that the account was closed and that there was a zero balance. Now they tell me that first I must send them $1,000.00 so they can zero out my balance. Then . . . IF no further charges are added to the account in 30 days, they'll send me my $1,000.00 back. What a great SCAM!!! They hold on to my money for 30, collecting interest on it, meanwhile still charging the various and sundry fees they charge each month, and then I'm sure they'll call and tell me they can't close the account untill I pay the overlimit amount again! These people are crooks and the entire company should be turfed from the country.

  3. Credit cards can be a useful financial tool if used responsibly. It is important to always read the fine print and understand the terms and conditions before applying for a credit card. It is also important to make payments on time and avoid carrying a balance to avoid high interest rates and fees. If you are receiving unsolicited credit card offers, you can opt-out by contacting the credit reporting agencies or the credit card issuer directly. It is important to be vigilant about your financial information and avoid scams or fraudulent activity.
