Jobmate Electric Snow Shovel, 7-amp

Jobmate Snow Blower Or Jobmate Snow Thrower

Item Description and details

1. This Snow Blower is great because it doesn't take any much space and that's why I bought it because the rest of them are too big and take too much space.

2. The other great thing about it is even if the layer of snow is small it will still clean it up, other blowers might not.

3. Its fun to use.

*** BUT! Here is the BAD stuff about it***:

It doesn't have an attachment or something that directs the snow to the side or wherever you want the snow directed! And this is a very important thing... and I'm not impressed and surprised that when they desiged this product they did not think of this! They could have either installed it on it or made a separate part that you can install yourself at your choice if you like. This machine is powerful and it throws the snow far, whenever I use it, it throws the snow at my neighbors driveway which then makes them upset and causes problems, I tried to point it in a position so it throws it at the side of my driveway or to throw the snow to the street but it's not possible, and if I do throw the snow at the street I can get fined!! There is a by-law against this.

And it has no wheeles to make the job easier.. but this is not a big concern, I am planning to return it because it doesn't have an accessory that discharges the snow to where I want it to go, and trust me this one of the most important things when it comes to snow blowers!!

  1. I have one and the plastic auger cracked and is broken and now I need a replacment and I don't know where to get one. I agree with the concerns about not throwing snow in a driection.

    2. I have the exact same problem. The side of my driveway has a crush gravel walk and some of the rock hit went though the impeller and it didn't just chip it but the impeller actually flew off the center rod in 3 seperate peices! Being that I got it for $5 at the local resuse center, I am not out a whole lot of money. I called the phone number on the label (1 877 888 3872) and gave them the info on the label and I now have a new impeller coming in the mail. The part costs $27.

  4. I just touched up against something on my deck and shattered my Jobmate 7A Electric Snow Thrower auger! I can't believe how fragile the plastic is on this thing! You'd think they'd make them with a little more give to them. Thank you guys for putting up the Sunrise Global contact info or else I would never have found where to order from. Sad thing is I just bought it and was working wonderfully till I nicked something hard.

  5. I know this post is like 2 years after the last post but I just want to comment that I too have broken the impellor/auger on my Jobmate 7 Amp Electric Snow Shovel/Thrower. I was merely cleaning my deck and nicked a hard plastic awning anchor support which is barely an inch off the surface of the deck. Argh! The impellor shattered in four pieces! It was the first time I had used it too! Just got it. I was so mad at myself! Anyways, I too called Sunrise Global and was able to order not one but two replacement impellors just in case I get stupid again. I had heard of the potential breakage! Anyways, one would think that this part would be designed to hold up better under normal use! I would not attempt using it on a gravel walk or drive in case you hit a rock and beware of hard ice chunks! Believe it or not, I actually glued the impellor pieces back together again with Guerilla Glue! It actually held together to my surprise after blowing off the deck. Here's crossing my fingers that it will hold up till my parts arrive. Sunrise Global charged me $39.55 Canadian currency for two impellors,$10 each and $15 shipping and applicable sales tax. They were courteous and efficient. Should have in five to ten days. Shipment from Ontario to New Brunswick. Thank you guys for giving the tip to call them. Hopefully the new ones will be redesigned and or stronger plastic.

  8. How do I remove the impeller assembly on a Jobmate 7 A snow thrower

  9. The Jobmate Electric Snow Shovel is a great space-saving option that can handle small layers of snow. However, it lacks an attachment for directing the snow and has no wheels to make the job easier.
