GrassGuys Scam Alert: Fake Reviews and Shady Tactics

There is a company called GrassGuys, with a website at mygrassguys.ca. Their Google Business listing can be found by searching "Grass Guys." As of now, they have a 3.8-star rating, with numerous complaints accusing them of being dishonest and even calling them a scam. One notable complaint includes a graphic image created by a frustrated customer or employee of theirs, alleging lies and other misconduct (see attached photo). 

GrassGuys has also been reported for placing their unauthorized signs on people's lawns without permission, presumably to take credit for work done by other companies. This tactic is seen by some as an attempt to falsely portray themselves as responsible for high-quality landscaping results—despite accusations that their actual work does not meet such standards.

Additionally, the company uses multiple phone numbers across various advertising materials, which could be seen as an effort to obscure their identity and make it difficult to link complaints and activities back to them. For example, the phone number 416-908-5952 appears on unauthorized lawn signs (see attached photo), falsely claiming they have a 5-star Google rating. However, their Google Business profile lists a different number: 647-334-5296.
