Looking for VOIP Service in Toronto - Don't Go With Atlas Voice!
Atlasvoice.com's VoIP service doesn't provide much service, VOIP, technical or otherwise. Long term and frequent outages, unable to make outgoing calls, incoming calls are frequently dropped, constant voice quality problems. Tech support unresponsive, sullen or hostile. They simply do not reply to the majority of support submissions. The public support forum is currently down and has few postings and you can't post to it either. So what exactly are customers paying for?
But here is a company that I found much better than this, it gives you unlimited calling to all US and Canada for only $19 a month! they also offer unlimited international calling as well! and the best part is I never EVER experienced any problems with their service or any outages and I've been with them for over 2 years so far.

I purchased VOIP phone service through Atlas Voice (now called Think Simplicity) in October 2006. I was required to rent and use their ATA hardware device to use their service. I paid a deposit of $51.00 for the hardware device.
On 13 October 2007 I cancelled my service and received an RMA number to return the ATA hardware device. I travel for work and did not take the time to return the ATA immediately. I returned it by Canada Post on 16 Nov 2007. The company acknowledged receipt of the device but stated I took too long to return it. They refused to refund my $51.00 deposit.
Their service was fine. Yes they had outages but it was comparable to other VOIP services as far as I know. However, they dealt with me very unfairly after I cancelled. This is no way to build a good reputation and is pretty short sighted.
Avoid Atlas Voice for VOIP service in Toronto. Frequent outages, dropped calls, poor voice quality, and unresponsive tech support make for a frustrating experience. A better option is a company that offers unlimited calling to the US and Canada for only $19 a month, along with unlimited international calling and no reported issues with service or outages in over 2 years.
